Jaime Bejar: E-Commerce Innovator and Disruptor

Jaime Bejar is the founder and CEO of Automate My Cash Flow and Online Empire University. Based in Los Angeles, Bejar has built a name for himself in the e-commerce world by focusing on innovative solutions that help entrepreneurs succeed online. His journey from an uncertain student to a successful entrepreneur is marked by resilience, hard work, and a commitment to helping others navigate the complexities of online business. I had the chance to learn about Jaime’s journey and his approach to building thriving companies in a rapidly changing digital landscape.

Early Life and Education

Jaime Bejar grew up in Los Angeles, California, in a middle-class family. His parents, immigrants who valued hard work and education, instilled in him a strong sense of responsibility and dedication. As a young boy, Jaime was curious but often felt lost in traditional academic settings. He struggled to find his direction until he discovered a passion for finance and entrepreneurship in his late twenties.

A friend from his early years remembers Jaime as a thoughtful and determined young man. He recalls a time when Jaime, despite his initial struggles with school, showed incredible focus and dedication to learning how businesses operated. Jaime’s turning point came when he realized the potential of entrepreneurship to change his life and help others achieve financial freedom. This realization led him to pursue higher education in Accounting and Finance at California State University, Los Angeles.

Building Automate My Cash Flow

After college, Jaime Bejar started his career in financial consulting. He worked with many businesses and noticed a common problem: many e-commerce companies had trouble managing their cash flow. This often led to financial problems and missed growth opportunities. Jaime realized that traditional financial methods didn’t fit well with the fast-moving e-commerce world, where quick decisions and efficiency are key.

“True success isn’t just about growing a business; it’s about staying grounded and keeping yourself in top shape, both mentally and physically.”

To solve this, Jaime founded Automate My Cash Flow in 2019. The company helps e-commerce businesses manage their finances better through automation. “I wanted to create a system that simplifies cash flow management for e-commerce businesses,” Jaime says. “Automation helps owners focus on growing their business without worrying about daily financial tasks.”

The company also offers consulting services to help businesses understand e-commerce finance and avoid common mistakes and scams. A colleague shared, “Jaime wants to provide more than just software. He knows the risks in e-commerce and wants to help businesses be prepared.”

After starting Automate My Cash Flow, Jaime saw another need: education for people who want to start their own e-commerce businesses. Many new entrepreneurs didn’t have the skills or knowledge they needed to succeed. To fill this gap, Jaime launched Online Empire University in 2020.

Online Empire University offers courses on e-commerce topics like Amazon Online Arbitrage (OA), digital marketing, product sourcing, inventory management, and avoiding scams. “I wanted to create a place where people can learn from real experiences, not just theory,” Jaime explains. “Our courses teach practical skills to help them build successful businesses.”

The platform also offers support through mentorship programs, live Q&A sessions, and a community where students can connect and learn from each other. Jaime places a strong emphasis on teaching students how to avoid scams in the e-commerce world. “It’s important to be aware of the risks online,” Jaime says. “Knowing how to protect yourself is key to running a successful business.”

Jaime is also excited about the potential of new technologies, such as AI and machine learning, to transform e-commerce. He is committed to staying at the forefront of these changes, ensuring his businesses remain leaders in the industry.

Outside of his business ventures, Jaime values spending time with his family. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and enjoys weight training and bodybuilding. Fitness is a big part of his life, reflecting his disciplined approach to both personal and professional challenges.

“True success isn’t just about growing a business; it’s about staying grounded and keeping yourself in top shape, both mentally and physically,” Jaime shares.

Jaime also believes in giving back to the community. Interview with Jaime Bejar

What keeps you motivated and excited about what you do?

What keeps me motivated is seeing the positive impact my work has on others. When I started Automate My Cash Flow and Online Empire University, I wanted to help entrepreneurs navigate the tough world of e-commerce. Every time I hear from a business owner who’s successfully automated their operations or a student who’s built a thriving online business, it fuels my passion. Their success stories remind me why I started these ventures in the first place. I know what it’s like to struggle, to be in debt, and to wonder if you’ll ever find your path. Helping others avoid those same struggles or giving them the tools to overcome them keeps me going.

Another thing that excites me is the constant evolution of the e-commerce world. There are always new challenges, technologies, and opportunities. I enjoy staying on top of trends and figuring out how to use them to help my clients and students. Whether it’s exploring new automation tools or finding better ways to protect against scams, I’m always learning. This keeps my work fresh and engaging. I love that every day brings a new challenge, and I get to solve problems creatively while helping others succeed.

What’s your go-to way to relax and enjoy yourself during your downtime?

For me, fitness is a big part of my life, and it’s my go-to way to unwind. I love weight training and bodybuilding, and I find it incredibly relaxing. It helps me clear my mind and relieve stress. When I’m lifting weights, I focus on each movement, and all the noise in my head fades away. It’s a way for me to disconnect from work and focus on something that’s just for me. My wife and I often work out together, and it’s a great way for us to bond and spend time together.

Aside from working out, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Whether it’s a casual dinner or a weekend barbecue, these moments help me recharge. I also like reading books about business and self-improvement, which gives me new ideas and perspectives. And sometimes, I just enjoy a quiet evening at home, watching a good movie or listening to music. These simple pleasures help me maintain balance in my life and keep me energized for my work.

What do you think is your single most crucial trait for success?

If I had to pick one trait, I’d say resilience. In my journey, I’ve faced a lot of ups and downs. From being in debt and moving back in with my parents to building multiple businesses, it hasn’t been easy. But I’ve learned that setbacks are just a part of the process. It’s not about how many times you fall; it’s about how many times you get back up. When things don’t go as planned, I don’t see it as a failure. Instead, I see it as a lesson, a chance to learn and come back stronger.

I remember when I was starting Automate My Cash Flow, there were days when it felt like nothing was working. I had moments of doubt and wondered if I was on the right path. But I kept pushing forward because I believed in my vision. That resilience helped me stay focused and adapt to challenges. It’s about having the mindset that every problem has a solution, and it’s up to you to find it. That’s what has helped me turn my ideas into reality and what I believe is key to any success.

What’s the weirdest thing that has happened in your career?

The weirdest thing that happened in my career was probably when I almost fell for an online scam while researching for Online Empire University. I was looking for new tools and platforms that could benefit my students when I stumbled upon a “too-good-to-be-true” software offer. It had all the flashy marketing and promises of high returns with minimal effort. I was skeptical, but curious. I decided to dig deeper and do some research. It turned out that the company was a front for a scam operation, targeting new entrepreneurs who didn’t know any better.

What made it weird was that I almost became a victim of the very thing I teach others to avoid. It was a humbling experience and a good reminder that no one is immune to scams. It also reinforced the importance of vigilance and doing thorough research before making any business decisions. I use this story now as a teaching moment in my courses. It shows my students that even experienced entrepreneurs can get caught off guard if they’re not careful. It’s a weird but valuable lesson that has stuck with me.

How do you handle negative feedback when you receive it?

When I receive negative feedback, my first step is to listen carefully. I try not to take it personally but see it as an opportunity to grow. Early in my career, I struggled with criticism, but I learned that it’s essential for improvement. Now, I ask myself, “What can I learn from this” I look for the truth in the feedback, even if it’s hard to hear. This mindset helps me stay focused on improving myself and my business.

For example, when we first launched Online Empire University, some students felt that the courses could be more detailed. Instead of getting defensive, I saw it as a chance to enhance our offerings. We took that feedback seriously and worked on making our courses more comprehensive and engaging. That experience taught me that negative feedback is just another tool for success. It can point out areas where you can improve and help you deliver better results for your clients and students.

What’s the hardest obstacle you’ve overcome in your life or career, and how did you do it?

The hardest obstacle I’ve overcome was being $100,000 in debt and having to move back in with my parents at the age of 30. It was a tough time. I felt like I had hit rock bottom. I had big dreams but didn’t know how to make them happen. It was easy to feel defeated, but I knew I had to find a way out. I decided to focus on what I could control: my mindset and my actions. I started by taking small steps every day to improve my situation. I read books on entrepreneurship, learned about e-commerce, and slowly began to build a plan.

I took a risk by diving into Amazon Online Arbitrage, learning everything I could about the business. I worked hard, stayed disciplined, and gradually started to see results. It wasn’t easy, but I kept reminding myself that every setback was a chance to learn and grow. Over time, I managed to pay off my debt and eventually launched Automate My Cash Flow and Online Empire University. Looking back, that challenging period taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of having a clear vision. It showed me that no matter how tough things get, with the right mindset and determination, you can overcome anything.
